Detection of progression from cognitively unimpaired to mild cognitive Note: An Official Proposal has not been Submitted to NACC. Lead Investigator: Gary Chan Institution : E-Mail : kcgchan@uw.edu Proposal ID : 1670 Proposal Description: Conversion from cognitively unimpaired to mild cognitive impairment is a key window to identify for clinical trials in order to target therapeutics for dementia before clinical presentation of cognitive decline. We aim to (1) compare longitudinal trajectories of UDS3 neuropsychological tests scores between cognitively stable unimpaired participants and cognitive decliners, and (2) determine the minimum number of subjects to enroll in a clinical trial to have adequate power to deter minimal differences between cognitively unimpaired and impaired participants.
